Not quite up to Call of Duty standards (Call of Duty World at War (PC))

Anyone who played 'Modern Warfare' would have been looking forward to this, and I would imagine much the same they would be disappointed.

I mean, the game is OK - but with Call of Duty you really expect more than just OK. The graphics work, the gameplay is alright but very limited...instead of the fun of calling in an air strike in Modern Warfare you call in a pack of dogs!

I know it was a different house that developed the game, but you can't help but feel it was rushed and just thrown together. There is no real depth or excitement to it which made me become very bored very quickly. I actually dug out Modern Warfare to get playing it again.

Of course it shouldn't be about comparing the two games, but when you've played one it sets a bar of which you would expect the following games to at least reach - and World at War sadly doesn't. Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable, just very limited and nowhere near the same level as Modern Warfare.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend buying it. I love Call of Duty as a lot of people do, so even if I read a review telling me not to buy it I still would. It's always best to find these things out for yourself. You may turn out to love this game! Here's hoping to the next one!
