It’s a well known fact that people thrive on violence – it’s always been true – and you only have to switch on the TV to see evidence. However, Carmageddon 2 is just a game, albeit one with some pretty gory cartoon violence. Drive around a variety of weird and wonderful locations in your killing machine, running people down in a range of creative ways for points, with the aim of destroying your opponents with your front bumper as your only weapon. And it’s tremendous fun! After the controversy caused by the first game, you would have though it would have been toned down for the sequel. Thankfully, this isn’t true. You are now able to ... I loved Carmageddon. Even though is was morally wrong and an absolute blood feast, it was still a great experience. I was looking forward to the sequel for quite a while, so when it came out I was more than pleased. The object of the game is to get to the ned of the tracks, or complete the mission, and causing the most destruction on the way. In the standard game, there are two ways of winning, destory your opponents or get to the end of the 3-5 laps. Run over people, dogs, and anything else in the way. The graphics are much improved over the original and the sound is pretty decent, backing vocals provided by Iron Maiden, a more than appropriate ... Read the complete review

You thought Carmageddon was good? Well look what’s just taken over. Carmageddon 2 is a brilliant driving game. Myself, I don’t particularly like driving games so I got this. You’re thinking, “Carmageddon is a driving game though”. Well this is a brilliant driving game. Not only can you race like any other driving game, you can smash up all your competitors and even squash flatten and decapitate the zombies. Ohhhh…what fun! In this sequel you have new cars, tracks/battle-grounds, pick-ups and the people have now change into zombies (how did that happen?). You start with the same car and bloke from the first one but boy does ... Read the complete review

Carmageddon 2 Is Great. Your objective is to make it across the finish line and the easiest way to do that is by destroying your enemies. It may sound easy, but his involves lots of crashes, flips, wipeouts and running over pedestrians. You earn points and enjoyment from this. There are only about six different level themes - the city, the quarry, the mountains, the airport, aircraft carriers and a nuclear silo and you can go and smash through windows and run over people that are in the office complex or buildings. They always try to hide somewhere though and the maps are well designed and will keep you well occupied. There are loads of new vehicles too ... Read the complete review

Most driving games expect you to race around a circuit several times, staying on the track, avoiding other cars and generally behaving properly. Not Carmageddon II. just like its predecessor, this game gives the driver total freedom. You can, if you wish, drive around the circuit and race against other cars. Or you can drive on the pavement and mow down pedestrians, scoring points for the artistic style of your collisions. Because of the time taken by the BBFC to award an age rating to Carmageddon II, SCI has released a 'zombie' version of the game in the UK. This means that instead of pedestrians with red blood, you can only splat zombies with green blood. But ... Read the complete review
