Advantages: Realistic
Disadvantages: Too addictive
THE GOOD: Attention to detail is second to none. I especially like the fact that players ingrained in the fabric of certain teams - like Zidane at Juve - are taken into account and make ZZ hard to buy. That's just an example, there are others and I think it's fantastic. THE BAD: Not sure they needed so many leagues from around the world. I mean, Northern Ireland and Ireland? Come on. I really don't think those 'minor' leagues (and the Irelands were just an example, too) make or break the game. European football's all about England, Spain and Italy at the end of the day - maybe Germany. SUMMARY: Heaven bless the cotton socks of the makers. CM 2000-01 is addictive, more realistic than any other managerial game and is far better than its two predecessors - not to mention streaks ahead of rival UEFA Manager. Still, it's hard to see how Totti's worth 50 million - but that's my opinion only and probably not right for this space. Go Bangor in the Welsh league, Wrexham in the English league and Stevenage in the English Conference. Get in! PS - nos da everyone in Gwlad!

- 20/06/01 Interesting op, a bit on the brief side maybe? The more you can write (so long as it's good), the better; but interesting...I haven't played this one, only it's previous incarnations which I always found a tad dull... |
