Championship Manager 00/01 is the latest and last championship manager game out. The next one after this is going to be fully revamped and supposidly better then this one. Is that possible?.

I have played many manager games including every championship manager game out and I have to say this one takes the biscuit.
Many would say that this champman is not so diferent from all the others. That is not true at all. Not only does this have more features but its also much more realistic. The new version has lots and lots of extras, improving on all the previous games. The 2001 version obviously has all of the stats expected from a competent football management game ie. all of the teams and all of the players from the 00/01 season. However, Championship Manager has always gone above and beyond to please the players, and they haven't failed this time. It features a massive 26 leagues from around the world to manage in, including Irish, Welsh, Turkish, Greek and Russian leagues. The 00/01 version includes an amazing 50,000 player profiles, with detailed player information. Which is much more then the previous champman game had to offer. It's not all about league football though. You can also manage Under-21 teams, B-teams, even Olympic teams, it really is the complete management simulation and has more than enough teams for you to consider managing. It's not all about coaching, as a manager you must learn to deal with the media and defend your player's outrageous behaviour to the tabloids. If your team's young striker has been a naughty boy, it is your job to make sure the company keeps it's dignity and play down the 'allegations' made by the tabloids, or if you want to publically abuse one of your players feel free to as long as you dont mind your chairman having his own say as well. You can now approach the Football Association to request a match postponement or even complain about a referee, something many real managers do nowa
days. These are more than distractions, they improve the variation in the game, and improve the lifespan of an already hefty title, and people said the game couldnt get better.

Another special feature this champman has that no other one has is a editor. Yeah I know many of us used to go on to the net to look for editors, but this one is actually with the game. So you can now add yourself to champman playing for your favourite team. If you want to be extremely naughty you can put the worlds best players playing for one team, and take on the challenge of trying to be unbeated throughout the season. Something that many managerial games lack is graphical beauty, but Championship Manager 00/01 has that in buckets full, menus are easy to navigate and the screens generally look fantastic. Five minutes in and it will seem like you've been playing it for ages, that is how accustomed you get to.

You can use the editor for a number of other things such as, changing capacity's of stadiums, changing ground names and many more. You can even change the temperetures of the games, for example you can be playing in -100'c in England in the summer. Kinda funny actually, but be aware that your players fitness goes down, way down.

This game is massive you can tell this by looking at the transfur system because there is an unbelievable amount of players including the worlds best like' Zidane,Figo,Beckham,Viera,Henry, and about another couple of thousand more. This game is so good because you can play for as long as you like because you can't complete the game you can get sacked and make transfers, talk to the media, fine players, sell players and hopefully win trophies. For each player you have a number of stats including finishing, longshooting, passing, tackling,
goalkeeping skills and many more. The reason the game is so good and popular is because of it's realism if you aren't a great team then you will most probably not win the
league and depending on how good a manager you are then that will deter your league positon and if you manage to keep your job or not. You can do a number of things like fine a player if he turns up late for training or got sent off in a match or if you just do not like their attitude. You can do a number of different tactics to improve your chance of winning the match like the formation and the players that you feel should take long shots and make forward runs or through passes because it makes a hell of a difference. You decide what sort of training you want your team to do. You can try to make players change their positions,so if you haven't got that position and they won't let you have any money to spend then this is the right thing to do. The media approach for a couple of reasons like if you are trying to sign someone on the quiet and they get the slightest rumour then they will ask you if it is true, they also ask if you think you can keep up your winning ways (if you are winning of course). But beaware one slip up and you will get sacked. Trust me Ive got first hand experience.

There is also a online wservice avaliable with this game, so you can play against other people over the internet. This is great fun to do against all your friends but be ready to wait a long time because the network is usually slow.

When you play this game I can assure you that you wont want to stop. For humour's sake, when you re load a saved game it will tell you how long you have been playing the game for, and also if you pass 24 hours theres little sayings for you. Ill leavet them a suprise. I also reccomend that you have plenty of space available on your computer because champman is a huge game and it takes a huge amount of space.

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!
IM SURE YOU WILL.

I'm addicted to four things in life: Irn Bru, Football, Doo Yoo and Championship Manager. An excellent opinion on what really is the best football management game ever, or could I say the best PC game ever?
