Advantages: Can be updated, Detailed background to all players/clubs
Disadvantages: Transfer fees un realistic in occasions, New game comes out every year
Championship manager is a classic game and all the games they have bought out previously have been superb and i enjoyed playing them. Up until this edition to the Champ Manager trilogy came out my favourite edition was the 97/98 season but this changed my opinion as this game is the best easily so far. It is compateble for most computers and should easily run on any standard PC. The layout of the screen is the same as the championship manager 3 but this is alot different to the layout of 97/98. The options that you have during the game are alot more vast and the amount of players and teams have almost doubled. The way of buying players is alot more in depth and more realistic as you are able to fine them and discipline them if they do something wrong. The main problem with the games in the past is that they go out of date very fast but in this game the option for updating the game is made alot easier. I f you go into My Computer then into program files and then into champ 00/01 you will get the option of editor and you can then add the players into different teams as the transfers happen in reality. Thye only thing that i must say is that on occasions the transfers are very unrealistic for example Rory Delap being sold for 7 million, that would not happen. I would say even though i have had the game now a year because i have updated it, it is alot better than the new games. So if you want a game that gives you the chance to sample life as a manager either abroad or in England then this is the game for you, and you could probably pick it up for about £20.
