Championship Manager is a great game, that is a fact. The greatest management simulation the world has ever seen, but is it too good?

The game draws you in, then pounces and before you know it, you cannot stop playing the infernal thing.

For instance, just the other night I had nothing special to do, so I thought why not play for a while on Championship Manager, try and get my team, Fulham to Europe. I had started and failed in my task, I finished 14th, but no matter, I will just go and watch TV, but wait, what seemed nothing more than an hour had turned into 4 hours, how could this happen?

The only answer is that Championship Manager is a drug, a Class A drug, it should be banned.

You play out of enjoyment to begin with, then you start increasing the nights spent, then before you know it you are putting of unimportant things such as food and sleep just to see your team through that incredible cup run.

Forgive me if my comments seem somewhat disorientated and harshly put together, but I have just lost the Champions League Final to a last minute goal.

Damn that game!!
