Best CM game since CM2 (Championship Manager 2010 (PC))

Advantages: It works, and its faster

At last a decent CM game

CM09 was dreadful. Bugs, long loads, daft difficulty curve, clumsy menu system. CM10 at last rectifies some of this.

Firstly, it works. Which sounds lik a given, but with CM09 it wasn't. There is no hang when you use the replay function in games. The loads have calmed down a bit too. The wait between games is now acceptable. The 3D match engine is coming on. Not quite perfect but you do get a sense of the ebb and flow of games.

There are some cosmetic changes to the game and the menu system feels much more intuitive to me now. It seems clearer to navigate. The press conferences still feel a bit rubbish, but advice from your management team (e.g. on tactics before games) generally works well.

I have fond memories of CM2 and this is the first version since then which would entice me to give up my life and play football management games for hours on end!

Summary: Prepare to lose a few hours (or ten!) playing this!
