Somebody up there must have read my review on Championship Manager 01/02, because just a couple of weeks after writing and submitting it I walked into 'Game' in Canterbury and there on the PC Games shelf as bold as brass was CM4, priced at £19.99! After I had said that generally the game was still at the £30 mark! Well cheers for that! The offer was too good to miss so I parted with my cash and took CM4 home and immediately installed it on my PC. I had read a couple of reviews about this game but it still didn't prepare me for what appeared on my screen. The cover, the accompanying manual and the CD all confirmed the game was CM4 ... Anybody who has played any of the Championship Manager games will know that it is not a game that you simply dip in and out of when you feel like it. Oh no. Once you load it up, thats pretty much the rest of your day over. You are just so compelled to play this game that all other things go straight out of the window - social events, toilet breaks, food, sleep, appointments at the hospital for emergency open heart surgery! It is just so addictive! If you havent played this version yet then fear not, you are not about to be released back into the cauldron of chaos known as the outside world. No way. You are bound to stay locked up in your house 'just one more ... Read the complete review

The UK?s most successful football management game ever returns and it?s better than ever before. I have read many games reviews on Championship Manager and all have rated the game highly. It deserves all the praise it has received. ~THE GAME~ Eidos describes the game as ?The Most Important Game Of Your Life?. Well, yes that?s true but I believe the phrase ?The most addictive game of your life? would be a more accurate connection to the game. Do I really need to describe the objectives of the game? Every football fan knows what the game is all about, but for those who don?t? (Those who are familiar with the game play might want to skip to the next ... Read the complete review

CM03/04 The time is 2300hrs on Wednesday the 28th of May in the year 2014 and I am currently relaxing after hearing the Manchester United fans, who followed my team to the Santiago Bernebeau stadium, Madrid, chant my name. They are, along with chief executive David Gill, deliriously happy, as I have just completed a historic treble. Russell Fry scored a brace and Moses Ashikodi added another in the 3-0 European Cup win over Real Betis. I made no hesitation in praising the now 30 year old Joaquin Sanchez for his outstanding performance in the game. The United ... Read the complete review
