Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: None
After playing on Championship Manager 3, I thought that there couldn’t possibly be a manager game better than it, but then a bought this, based on how much I liked Champ Manager 3, and I totally loved it, even more than its predecessor. It is a lot harder to find good young players, and is also a lot harder to buy big name stars. The fact that you can ask the board to do things such as expand the stadium, and to invest extra funds makes this a lot better, since you cannot expand the stadium on Champ Manager 3. And if a player gets on your nerves, by disrespecting the club, or repeatedly getting sent off, you can fine him, a maximum of four weeks wages. The actual playing of the games in this version is harder, you don’t tend to win as much as on Champ Manager 3, and you don’t tend to get sacked as easy if the results don’t go the way of the club. This game also has a lot of better commentary in the match, which helps to give a better picture of what is going on in the match. The sound is also a lot better, it doesn’t so much make you feel like you are at a football match, but it is very good. There are a lot of different leagues to choose from as well, which is another contributing factor to the games sheer class. Most notably you can choose from the Japanese and American leagues, unlike on any other Champ Manager games. If you like manager games, or football, then this is the game for you, it has every thing required for you to get hooked on it, gamers should not be without.
