Advantages: packed with features

Disadvantages: difficult to learn

Civilization is a complex game. It is a game where you must build your own civilization and compete against other civilizations to be the best. You can win the game in one of two ways, either by completing the space race or by destroying all of your other opponents.

There are so many different things to learn in the game some people may find it a little intimidating. But I can guarantee that if you put the time and effort in to learn all aspects of the game it really is a masterpiece and a joy to play.

There are a number of different features within the game including:

- The ability to create units (fighting units, exploring units, settlers).
- The ability to create cities in different countries, continents and that receive different inputs from the lands around them.
- The ability to talk to other civilizations and make treaties with them or declare war.
- The ability to build within your cities to expand the cities population, defense, attack capability and profits.
- The ability to change your government to keep your citizens happy.
- The ability to move units through the world to explore and conquer.
- The ability to research new scientific advances allowing new units, buildings and leading to other technologies.

You must combine your strategic skills in all these areas to become the best you can be. You go through the ages starting in BC through to AD. The different levels of difficulty in the game allow you to start at the most basic level up to the hardest where you will be as vulnerable as the computer is in the basic level.

The game has excellent longevity and each and every game is a different experience. Go wild!

Summary: a must for any serious gamer
