If you are new to the world of strategy games, then let me start by saying that this game is not for you. Pick up a Command and Conquer or Total Annihilation (remember that?) and learn the basics. Quite simply, Civilization is absolutely savage for newcomers, not only to the genre, but also to the series itself. Civilization III, the 3rd game in Sid Meier's series of turn-based strategy games that builds upon an already deep and addicting game. Civilization III is a great follow on from the previous Civilizaton II. It has advanced far since its previous version. The first thing you will notice is the graphics have been completely revamped and without swamping the playing screen. The units and land detail have been increased as well as other lighting effects and 3D effects. The game plays similar to the second but not completely the same. There are many more things to take into consideration when building your empire. There are many more technologies to research and advancements to make. You will notice some units that have been brought from the second version but there are also ... Read the complete review
