One of my favourite games which has provided me with plenty of game play and entertainment, one of my favourites parts is upgrading my palace where every so often when your citizens are happy you can upgrade part of your throne room. Story You have to build your own empire, taking on the role as the leader and leading your nation to victory against several opposing empires. This is it! This is where it all began in the monumental franchise of Civilization and the many clones that derived from it *and it's Engine*. Civilization 1 by all standards graphic wise, engine wise, AI wise, falls below par, yet it is what was there at it's time that was mindblowing! For example, the AI in it, though simplistic in regards to today's Civilization, was just damn amazing at the fact that the computer was able to REALLY give you a run for your money if you weren't careful. They weren't stupid, they'd build their cities in ideal locations, come swiftly for your head if you should anger them, and build intricate colonies. In the first ... Read the complete review

If you are one of the many people who think that our countries leaders are doing a bad job and that you could do much better if given half a chance then games like Civilization are for you. You begin the game as absolute ruler of a tribe of settlers and your first job is to found your capital city - just find a suitable spot and away you go. Then you have to ensure that your city is well defended by getting your population to produce military units before deciding whether to expand outwards and found new cities or to develop your capital further.
