Not being in to war games on the pc, but enjoying building up a town and civilisation I love this game. It is an extension pack for Pharaoh and provides the gamer with some new levels and some extra dimensions on existing ones. I would recommend a new player to buy both at once (I think now you would find them sold together) and then play. If you have loaded Cleopatra on then you only use that disc to play with. You are given a different challenge at each level and a different landscape in which to build your thriving new community. The challanges vary - your main goal may be supplying enough food, raw materials and finished goods to export, you may have ... Read the complete review

Cleopatra is a very good addition to Sierra's Pharaoh. It continues the history of Egypt where Pharoah left off, and eventually pits your wits against the might of the Roman army. But what is it? The original Pharaoh is a city-building game published by Sierra, in the same series as Caesar III and Zeus: Masters Of Olympus. You start out as the headman of a tiny settlement at the dawn of the Egyptian civilisation, and 'you', or at least your descendants, work your/their way up further into Pharaoh's favour, and are given more and more prestigeous projects to carry out. Not being a real computer game fan myself, I have aquired a copy of Cleopatra. The best way to describe it and I apologise if this is wrog is that it's a Sim type game although it's far more interesting than sincity which I took one look at and forgot about it. Cleopatra allows you to build up cities in the same way, build monuments and temples, keep your towns folk in work and well fed. Don't let them catch malariya or the plague, Build goldmines and diamond mines and even build your very own pyramyd for that fateful day when you go. This is a relaxing game but makes you think, build your very own Egyption city and bathe in gold and asses ... Read the complete review

The pharoah game is one of my favourite games of all time because of its basic simplicity and its strategy requirements. This game is so easy just to pick up and play on a rainy afternoon. The scenarios can be short in length so they do not take long to complete and there are so many different ways to go about them. Although this game has a simple concept it is not an easy one to master and will make even hard core gamers strugle and because there is no set way to complete everything and you can just play for fun and challenge yourself. Dont be put off because its an older game it beats most new ones hands down and takes up alot less system specs. A must have for anyone ... Read the complete review
