Advantages: good story
Disadvantages: ai is not that good
Cold War for the PC is a stealth action game similar to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell game series in game play style
You play as a freelance journalist Matthew Carter, who manages to find himself in the middle of an international conspiracy that is trying to take to control of the U.S.S.R and is set in the mid 1980's.
The game starts with you arriving in Moscow and being arrested by the KGB, interviewed and tortured you have to escape and try to evade the Russians whilst trying to uncover and stop the plot before you are killed or sent to a Siberian prison camp.
The game is set in real locations and areas in Russia and uses a wide array of different weapons and gadgets to help you move stealthy through the missions.
Controls/Graphics -
The controls are pretty hard to learn and use although over time they come easy enough. The graphics are not bad but nothing special and the levels are pretty detailed.
Difficulty
The game itself is fairly hard to complete as some of the actions to keep hidden are quite hard to do at times. Althought the AI is nowhere near as good as it is in similiar games.
Value for Money -
The game has a good story line and is well written, the cut scenes are not bad and it takes and with the game not being completely linear you can play it again choosing different options if you wish so plenty of game play available/
My rating 7 out of 10
Summary: fun to play with good story
