~ Why? ~ I’ve always enjoyed tactical strategy games, but I never had a Personnel Computer during the “Command and Conquer” and “Red Alert” up roars. Sitting down in the pub with a few mates telling them that my Dell PC should be coming soon (many other good computer supply companies). Got into a discussion about computer games when my mate told me about this game coming out could not wait for it and got it again on the day release at Game again (other good console retailers) kept my 10 day return resist just in case I didn’t like it. ~ First ... Its' disapointing when a game is being developed for so long and in the end delivers so little (Daikatana is another example). I'm afraid, although I loved the C&C series before this game, I cannot find much to reccomend this title by. The first thing you will notice when you start your first game is how terrible the graphics are. They are chunky and have large black outlines around them, making them look like cartton figures. OK, graphics aren't everything but even when you start playing the game, it feels FAR to simila ro every other C&C clone you'll have ever played (It can't really be called a clone itself as it is a C&C game but you get what I ... Released in 1999, Tiberian Sun is considered by many casual real time strategy gamers to be brilliant. Upon closer inspection however, it becomes clear that this game in one of the weakest in the Command and Conquer franchise. For those unfamiliar, C&C is a series of many real time strategy games that have sold better than any other of their kind. Many gamers will for example be familiar with Red Alert. Command and Conquer relies on the player to build structures on its isometric landscape to train troops and vehicles, which all depend on meticulous resource management. The units trained must then battle it out with another player or AI with the ultimate ... Read the complete review

I have played all of the Command & Conquer series and was always very impressed. In their respective times they all looked good and performed well. When I first got Tiberian Sun my expectations were met. I had heard, at least from Westwood Studios, that it was going to look even better than all the others before it and it sure did! All the structures and maps are a big step forward in terms of graphics and appearance, though that wasn't going to be hard. The AI is improved too, especially for the harvesters. Granted, their virtual IQ hasn't quite reached a whole number just yet. The story line is better than before and the video sequences have lost those ... Read the complete review

Having played all the prequels to this game I bought it straight away.Tiberian Sun is the third installment in the Command and Conquer series and the first noticeable improvement is the graphics, unlike it's predecessors this game is viewed from a more 3 dimensional perspective, whilst looking impressive it doesn't have a dramatic effect on the gameplay. There are a number of other improvemnts beside the aesthetic ones however such as units gaining "veterancy" through combat experience giving them new abilities and hit points, the battlefield is also more interactive this time arround with units able to gain access to almost everywhere on the map{the lack ...
