Advantages: Some good graphics and cool toys
Disadvantages: Futuristic setting
I got into Command & Conquer through a friend and after playing Red Alert 2 it was clear to me that this genre was better than I expected.
I purchased C&C 3 thinking that it would be along the same lines as RA2 but unfortunately this was not so. The game was really quite expensive (£30), I know average for a game but this game did not warrant the usual high price tag.
The game itself is built very well with lots of great graphics and a scenario that keeps you hooked for hours. The bit that disappointed me was the setting of time etc...
The game is set in the future of uber-cool military gadgets. You are fighting to keep America and must keep the enemy back. The game features a main base that allows you to build barracks and other things, you must collect a radioactive metal called Tiberium (hence the name) for money so you can build things. You can get soldiers, tanks, aeroplanes, war machines etc... and several cool abilities, such as missile attack.
Overall though the game is not too bad and keeps you amused for ages, but not really as good as I hoped due to its futuristic setting. It does not seem to lead on from any previous game so leaves little in the way of history.
Summary: Not the best from C&C
