Seeing from nowadays, Command & Conquer: Red Alert is not at all a good game. It is not a 3D game, without many graphic and sound effect, but it is true a mark stone of its time, which 3D game is still a sound in the air.

First, RA got a quite good story background. It lies in the cold war,where Russia is against NATO. And one man named Kane (stem from C&C) travel from modern time to this period the stir the time. Kane choose the side of communist, and control its leader Stalin. By doing this, war beweet the two power summit broke out.

Second, RA create a stardard for RTS (real-time strategy) game. Besides C&C and WOC, RA is the first game to create a resource collecting and unit creation system, and done the best job in its time.

Third, RA also provide player to create their own mission, by provind a map editor. This feature seem common today, but in its time, it is a pioneer.

Summary: A quite good game
