Commandos; BEHIND ENEMY LINES; Commandos is a real-time tactics game set in World War II that puts you in command of a small squad of Elite troopers. Send them behind enemy lines on a series of hazardous missions. Clever strategy has never been so action packed. Study the enemy’s movements and then strike when it is necessary, crush, kill and destroy (whoops got cared away there). The graphics are amazing right down to the last detail and the sound blaster makes it sound as if you are there in the thick of it. With 26 different levels and over 350 buildings this game never gets boring. You can also play over the Internet with over 40 different enemy ... Read the complete review

Yes indeed, a game to hook you in an instant and have you drooling down your shirt in anticipation of your next victim. At least that's how I found it! Yes it's an old game now and the graphics will hardly astound you, but it has the addiction factor that so many now lack in a sacrifice for superior visuals. That certain something that only games like Championship manager and the Sims seem to find, where time has no meaning and you are constantly late for work. Where you forget that personal hygiene is required in order to blend in with the rest of the human race. I bought Commandos from a bargain bucket bin and boy was it worth it! >The ... Commandos is just one of those old games that... well, never gets old. Yes, there have been sequels (I'll be trying them out soon!), but that doesn't change the fact that the original game is as fun now as it was when it first came out several years ago. Commandos takes place in World War II, and the player controls a small group of special forces troops to complete missions. Each character has a unique set of gear and skills. For example, the Sapper is great at blowing things up and cutting through fences, whilst the Diver has a lethal harpoon, scuba gear and of course a portable inflatable dinghy to make a quick escape. Progression in Commandos is ... Read the complete review

I bought commandos as a christmas present for my boyfriend and i didnt see him for a week he was on it constantly as if he was addicted or something. I later installed it on my PC and it was as good as my boyfriend had said, i could certainly understand why he was so engrossed in it. Commandos is set in world war 2 and is a real time tactics game that lets you be in command of a small group of elite troopers who all have their own voices and phrases. What you have to do is to send them behind enemy lines in order to complete various hazardous missions, twenty-six in total, and you have to bring them all back alive which is hard work and takes alot of ... Rating:
Fast paced it's not, but commandos has that magical quality of grabbing your attention and keeping it fixed intently on the job at hand. Don't expect a shoot-em-up with action hiding around every corner and certainly don't expect to shoot your way through the wermacht - generally, if you're spotted it's game over and reload from savegame time. As tactical games go its not complex - its got a very simple interface which means the learning curve is refreshingly short - and missions generally have a simple objective with relatively few options for achieving it. The magic lies in the atmosphere - tension abounds and the knack of the game lies in ... Read the complete review
