A classic that tends to be forgotten in the pool of newer, better, graphics.
Member Name: MaestroRage
Advantages: Amazing missions, innovative challenges and story.
Disadvantages: Why can't Bob take the damn oars and row the damn boat?!
Commanados: Behind Enemy Lines is and always will be a game of great respect. You are forced to sit back and recognize the kind of things they pulled off which were never seen in the times it was made. The degree of stealth and tactics necessary to pull off the missions was astounding!
Each mission was built in a way which made use of every agent you had, and not in a "open this damn door and then hide behind this bush forever!" kind of way either. You needed them all, and constantly, and you needed them all alive.
The only downside to the game is okay, I admit, some functions which every commando should be able to do. Like... well... row an inflatable boat for instance. I don't care how many years of training Agent A has, taking two oars and moving them in a constructive circular motion doesn't require the ability to pick off an enemy 50 miles away blindfolded.
The thrill and suspense this game provides during critical moments of the mission are unrivaled even today. Holding enemies hostage to do as you say, the sheer agony as your whole plan falls apart on you...
It is highly recommended that you try this game, and yes you'll find the graphics old, but they have aged very well, and are still today very enjoyable.
Summary: Something that should never vanish off the shelf.
