I had this game on the Sega Megadrive and it distinctly sticks out n my mind as one of my favourite games of that era. Develope by Virgin and Single Player only, you don't really expect much from the game but what it gives you is pure entertainment. Cool spot is a 2D platforming game similar to the like of Sonic The Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. Jump around from ledge to ledge avoiding enemies, we all know the score. So why is is, that I found myself playing this game far more often than other leading titles? Firstly the character you play is just pure coolnes. A red spot with arms and legs and cool guy shade. Cool Spot is an excellent and highly addictive platform game. I remember this game fondly on the old Sega Game Gear and then found out it had also been released on the SNES and just had to get it. Basically, you are a spot (with legs and hands) and you roam around the 2D platform worlds collecting spots and stomping enemies. It is a simple formulae used many times in platform games but it works. The graphics are good and the game play is highly addictive - I have played this game as much as Super Mario and it would be great if Nintendo would release it on the Game Boy Advance. Please!!!
