... think the fact that the majority of the actors were not involved with it really cements how uninspired and just pretty drossy this game is. It might satisfy for a few minutes, but as soon as I cleared through this game's short and overly simple set of tasks, I sold it and never looked back. The game has you investigating five crimes - largely murders, but one that was simply a murder attempt - and they are gloriously ridiculous and flimsy as the scenarios you'd see on the show. With each crime, you work with a dif...more

CSI: Hard Evidence (PC): Dodgy in every aspect (310 words)

I must preface my review by saying that I'm not especially a huge fan of CSI; I thought the show started well, but very quickly became a formulaic and procedural show that just happens to have good actors. Considering I am not somebody who watches the show I was pleasantly surprised while looking for a decent murder mystery type of game to come across CSI: Hard Evidence and thoroughly enjoy it. Just finished this game today and is a must have for any hardcore CSI fan! Working alongside Catherine, Grissom, Nick, Warrick, Sara, Doc Robbins, Jim Brass and Greg, you become a 'New CSI' and are evaluated at the end of each case to see how well you have done. Earn points for thoroughness, collecting bugs for Grissom's collection, collecting evidence and using initiative in the lab to analyse the evidence you have collected, speak to suspects in the interrogation room, interview witnesses, and see if the evidence takes you to the correct conclusions. Scenes are lifelike, with blood, fingerprints, bullets, victims in their final positions, the weapon nearby, torn ...  Read the complete review
