Dawn of War is a fantastic real-time strategy (RTS), based around the tabletop war game Warhammer 40,000. Warhammer 40,000 has been around for over twenty years and is one of a series of similar fantasy and science fiction offerings from the hobby supplier Games Workshop (www.games-workshop.com). In the table top game, hobbyists build and lovingly detail exotic armies of super soldiers, grotesque aliens and hideous demons and then battle them in their spare time. The blend of competitive strategy, enjoyable game and craft project has always proved a lucrative one and despite current financial troubles, the brand has been emptying the wallets of parents and devotees alike ... This is a great package and well worth the price tag as you get all the games in the series, which offers lots of missions and levels of difficulty that will tax anyone who plays it, depending on how you like to fight each race complement anyones fighting styles wether its the quick attacks of the Eldar or the human wave and defensive abilities of the Imperial Guard. The games Crusade and Soulstorm actually increase the size and scale of the games played where either you are fighting across a planet and then taking it off planet until u conquer the entire solar system. This series is a welcome addition into anyones strategy game collection, the main ... Read the complete review

For being able to purchase so many superb titles at such a low price, this product is most certainly worth it. The original Dawn of War is a superb game to start with, and progressing through the other three titles only adds to an already fantastic experience. Soulstorm is the pinnacle of the 4 Dawn of War titles, despite being slower to load and more cumbersome on your computer. The graphics of all 4 games are superb, but the versatility in the campaign of Soulstorm far outstrips the others. Dark Crusade is fantastic in its' own way, providing many, many hours of good gaming, but the final title in the quadrilogy is most certainly worth the money. Any fan of warhammer ... Really worth getting with all the expansions in one place as it gives you a wide variety of campaigns and races. The warhammer setting is perfect for games like this, as the squad-based nature of warfare translates very well onto the computer RTS platform. This RTS has a great balance between building and action, with victories viable right at the start of the game or after amassing large armies. The tactics are reasonably subtle, with the appropriate unit type and equipment being key. The main disappointment with the game is that terrain and strategy are missing importance, it's certainly more tactical an RTS than a grand strategic one. The ... Read the complete review
