Demigod introduces a new concept to the stratgic world. Combining RPG (role playing game) factors into each charachter. Definitelately a game worth getting if you previously like games such as Warcraft or Dawn of the Ancients. Demi-God is different for any other real time strategy as it requires no base building or devolpment of an economy. It based around all out offensive battles.
There are a total of eight demi-god charachters you can choose from. 4 assains and 4 generals. Generals require more strategic thought as there control there own personal army. Generals focus on supporting allied demi-gods and controlling the battlefield. On the other hand assains have more devistating moves and focus on all out damage and destroying the enemy structures and demi-gods.
Although the game is extremely fun to play with friends and even against the AI. It lacks many vital components. Such as there is no tutorial on how to play the game. Many single player games are needed just to get hang of the basics. After this your will have to find alot of time to find out the advanced features of the game. Such as helping and upgrading allies, buying units, armour and items, and advancing stages in your own technology tree. The game also has no single player campaign. This is dissapointing as it has such an interesting concept which is just screaming out for an amazing in-depth storyline.
Although there are eight demi-gods, it is fairly obvious that there are a few which are better than the others. The restricts multiplayer games as teams often consist of the same demi-gods. Therefore a number such as twelve varied but fair demi-gods would have been sufficient.
