I received a Demo of this game in a cereal quite a few years ago, and i am now addicted to this game. You start off leading one man, John Cooper, and you have to complete these missions, rescuing your friends and surviving in the wild west area. You can throw knife, stab, shoot, tie people up and many more. You control up to 6 characters, all with unique actions, such as poison gas, throw knife, seduction, dynamite and many more! The game builds up gradually in difficulty, and teaches you how to use each character in a secondary level, and once you got to grips with it, it plunges you into a full level with the old and new characters. Desperados is a great game. Fans of Commandos will love this game, and it's arcade styling, gives it a good start for first time users of strategy games. The Basic idea of the game, is that you control up to six characters as you make your way around a map, completing a certain mission. You start of with John Cooper, the green beret of Desperados. He has the ability to throw knifes, punch people and distract them. Sound familiar? He soon rescues his friend Sam, who is an expert in ammunition and explosives. This strategy game is set in the Wild West and the graphics are immense. The developers are infogrammes and they are well known for good strategy games that really make you think. Desperados is not just a single character game but includes a whole gang of cowboys (and girls) which expand this game to whole new horizons. You include all of their talents to get through the levels. Like John Cooper who can lift people up and carry them away, which is very useful for getting rid of dead guards. Also Kate, who is pretty gorgeous, flashes a bit of leg to a guard while someone else sneaks up and takes him out.
