Advantages: nice graphics, good story

I got this game as a gift from my boyfriend because he knew I loved watching Desperate Housewives and wanted to get me more into gaming (one of his hobbies) so thought I might enjoy this.

This game involved me being a new character that has just moved into Wistera Lane and become the 6th Desperate Housewife.

I firstly had to create a family, choose my family name, names for myself, my husband and son and then create our appearance and clothing. I don't get to choose what I and my husband do for a living but it has to tie in with the story of the game so I guess that's fair enough. I quite enjoyed choosing a look, hair colour/ style for myself, my husband and son. Then there's only a limited amount of clothing I can choose from but I can buy more as the game progresses.

My story starts off quite strange as I discover that my character has a scar on their face that needs covering up with make up. I also discover that I don't really remember much about my past and that I suffer from amnesia. 10 years of my life are a complete blank and I don't quite know how to explain this to my new friends.

You get to choose form different dialogues, which response would suit your mood best, you also get to cook, garden, shop etc. These activities will help you to stay emotionally healthy. Your objective is to keep your own, your husband and sons emotional wellbeing healthy and their other needs will also pop up when they need tending to.

I found that, whist doing all the cooking and gardening, I didn't get to find out more about the story as fast as I would have wanted. I'd also get frustrated with getting the answer or mission wrong and therefore being delayed with the story and being stuck trying to fix my problem.

Although the story was good and this game kept me quite entertained for a good couple of hours, I'm just not a gamer and therefore did not complete this. I guess you'd have to be really into gaming and wanting to complete your mission in order to get the most out of this game but I get bored easily and am much better off with shorter games or puzzle games that I can quit at any time.

Summary: ok game for girls who like DH
