Advantages: Just like the show

Disadvantages: Not long enough

An excellent game for anyone wo is in love with Desperate Housewives like me, although, I doubt it would be as much fun if you don't watch the program.
I recently got this as a birthday gift however I was thinking of buying myself anyway. It is quite a cheap game but definate worth the money if not more money!
It is basically a point and click game but you do get some options of dialogue which may affect the way the game plays in differnet ways.
Before the game starts you get to choose the appearance and name of your character. You also get to choose the the name and appearance of your husband and son, although there are not as many options. When choosing your own appearance there are very few options and there is only a limited choice of clothing aswell.
At the start of the game you are new housewife who has just move to Wisteria Lane. Your husband is a doctor and has just started a new practice at the mall! In the first episode it is basically a tutorial. You meet the different housewives and get to know your husband a little. You also learn that you have amnesia and can remember anything from the last 10 years.
As the game progresses it all builds around the point of your amnesia. The main plot is excellent, just like in a series of he program. It makes you want to continue playing to find out more. I don't want to give too much away but there is an amazing conclusion that ends in a three-way life changing decision for your character.
Throuhout the game however, you are diverted from what you really want to be doing, finding out more about the main plot, but menial tasks that don't have any real effect on the game.
The look of the game has a very sims-like feel to it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was made by the same people, although I don't know.
The game case says that certain things affect the game such as how you dress, although this dosn't actually seem to have any real effect at all.
Overall, this is an amazing game for people who are in love with Desperate Housewives, theplot is filled with twists and turns and drama that is typical of Wisteria Lane. Even if you don't watch the program, you can still get some good enjoyment out of this game, as shown by my sister who had never seen the show before but bought the game after seeingme playing it and now loves the game, whether she will take up watching Desperate Housewives now, I don't know, but I hope she does!
I think the game should have been made to last a bit longer though, I finished it in a couple of nights and then wanted to continue playing.

Summary: Definately does the show justice
