The first time I played this classic it seemed so original, finally a racing game where I could be given points for being too rubbish to avoid other cars. So the as the name suggests the object of the game is to cause as much damage to other cars as possible and you get rewarded for your efforts. These days the game seems less outstanding as it has a sequel and several other games seem to have taken to the idea, such as Carmageddon and Grand Theft Auto, except the newer games have the destruction mixed in with many other things in the game making them more appealing choices. Also the graphics are now looking pretty old and blocky. But you can probably pick up a ... Read the complete review

Destruction Derby was first released on the Playstation, and I loved it, it brought hours of fun and was very addictive for quite a while, The only problem was the game got to be very easy on PC, it seemed as if I was the only one playing sometimes. And as for the total destruction Derby (as opposed to the Stock car or wrecking racing,) This was really easy as soon as I started to drive backwards for a while and then you were rarely blown up, because you can only be out if your engine goes at the front of your car, It was allways easy enough to clock up enough points to win the league after the destruction Debry, The PC offered no way of playing ... Being a good 6 years old now you probably wonder why on earth I decided to play, let alone review this game now. Of course I played it the first time around, but the other day in-between lectures I got a little bored, and happened to find it on a CD lying around. For nostalgias sake I gave it a go and actually got right back in to it. It's still a decent game today, and even better it should only cost about 5p to buy providing you can find a copy (or you could even download it from an abandonware site, but that's not 100% legal). Obviously being so old the game looks crap. It's 3D and everything, but it looks as if someone's taken a bit of ... Read the complete review

Released back in 1995, Destruction Derby utillised then-rather flash 3d graphics to create a delightfully brainless and fun raving game in which up to four players can go head to head in an all out stock-car race to the death, with the emphaisis very much on smashing your opponent's cars into oblivion rather than making it around the track safely. There are only seven maps available, and these are not particularly large, although they are reasonably varied, including ruined a monastery, a motorway, a cactus-filled desert track and a level with a giant bowl in the middle that leads to almost instant desctruction after the starting flag comes down as every ... Destruction Derby is basically a stock car racing game with the emphasis based on getting points for trashing your opponents cars, but also racing round the track at high speeds to get to the number 1 position before the race is over. You don't get any new cars in this game, so your stuck with the same one throughout it. the game dosent last long enough to get bored with it though! There are about 8 tracks (i think) which can last from 5-10 minutes each. There isnt much of a point to this game, its just an arcade game which you can play for a while then turn off when you get bored. The graphics are good for the time it was made as are the sound ...
