Advantages: True to the console brethren, won't be missing out
Disadvantages: minor graphical issues here and there, blurs, aliasing etc.
Fans of Devil May Cry who have played it on the consoles can swear up and down that the PC version is a watered down, crappier looking version to cater to a dying market.
Though they would not be totally wrong, they would not be totally right either. The graphics of the game DO suffer a bit, there are a few blurry moments, some alias issues here and there but you're looking at the same game pretty much.
The only thing which makes me wish it hadn't gone on PC was the controls. Without a USB controller playing this game is going to give you carpal tunnel syndrome. And fast.
The sound is true to it's console brethren, crisp and clear, the story hasn't changed. Dante is still kicking ass as we all expect him to.
A good take though in my opinion somewhat unnecessary. Gaming on the PC is a slowing market, I would be surprised to see the trend of bringing future DMC games showing up here.
Summary: Worth it for the price, won't need a monster PC to play it either.

- 03/08/08 Welcome to Dooyoo.
If you want higher ratings you need to add more info on things like what you do in the game (e.g. is it a RPG, First Person Shooter or a Strategy game?), the graphics (e.g. is there any slowdown, how do the characters look and what do the environments look like), the sound (e.g. soundtrack, effects, voice acting etc.) and how much content there is (e.g. how long did it take you to finish, were there any side missions and was there online play?). If you need any more advice send me a PM. |
