Diablo 2 was released on 29thJune 2000 and after two weeks had sold more than 1 million units, earning it a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records "2000 edition". To expand upon this massively popular title, Blizzard North released "Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction" exactly a year later, which (according to Metacritic) "should reinforce the staying power of an already legendary RPG."
