Advantages: Helpful video's, tests...

Firstly id like to say:
"If your doing A-levels....then what the heck you doing on the dooyoo site??...havnt you got work you could be doing, research, homework, writing up them dreaded assessed practicals...etc etc etc??"

Ok now lecture over, because I can hardly speak!

If you've ever tried to sit down and read a book about endocytosis or the water potential in a root...then you'll know how difficult it can be. Dont get me wrong, I really like Sciences (obviously, because you wouldnt get me doing A-level chemistry, biology and physics if I hated them!)...but I still find sitting down and reading books like that difficult. Although given the choice id rather read them than a Delia Smith book!
Although I can sit down quite hapillary and read a book about "dark matter", "grand unifying theories" etc...strange really!

Well anyway! Onto the actual CD ROM. Basically the CD ROMS (ive got one for each Science...see other opinions for them!) are just like any other A-level CD ROM really. The main advantages about the DK ones though are:
* you can choose whether your AS or A-level*
* handy little tests that give you an immediate score...which can either be good or bad but there we go!*
* generally very relevant information given*
* helpful little video's and things for the parts of the syllabus people find most difficult. Eg. transcription*

Although all of the above points apply to biology, chemistry and physics!

If I didnt already have the CD ROMs, then id go out and buy them myself!
