Advantages: Great Game Play. Blood & Gore. Ultra FAST
Disadvantages: None there are just none
This game is basically, walk around blasting the hell out of everybody with a seriously large gun with lots of ammo. You fight monsters, each one having a different super power to try and stop you. You are a little man in what looks like a space suit. This game can be played for hours on end and is excellent in the Office for after hours. What are you waiting for go buy it!! Yeah I've heard it all before this game is old but its one of the original 'shoot em ups'. The graphics are oldish but that doesnt stop millions of fans playing it. There are two versions of this game, meaning you can buy it for DOS or Windows95. With the windows version you can enhance the graphics resulution which is great. If you are new to computers and are used to the new enhanced smooth 256bit graphics with 64megs of DDR then you may not enjoy this game, but for a fiver or less you may as well try it! Its fast reliable and you will have so much fun playing it. You can play the game over the net or via Lan (Local area Network). There are loads of levels on the game and thousands more can be found on the net. You must hurry to get this game as it is now 6 years old. You may have to get it on special order. A friend is bound to have it you must get a copy!! PROS Fast Gameplay, excellent monsters, brilliant weapons. Great Game in every aspect. ID Should get an award! Thousands of levels available. Good Multiplayer CONS Maybe hard to find a copy. If you are new to computers and have the latest Technology you may find that the game is not very good, try to treat it as the best arcade game ever! - 01/11/00 I have to say Quake did not do it for me! (i am not crazy!) I think that ID is showing its age and needs to re-launch itself with completely new games! And yes I am still playing Doom! |

- 01/11/00 Ahhhh, brings back college memories!! A truly classic game!
I remember creating my own multiplayer levels at college(!) & secretly setting up multiplayer games!!! Those were the days!
Surely you've moved on to Quake I/II/III though!?! Doom is certainly showing it's age! |
