This is a review on the original DragonBall Z Budokai game that has finally came out onto the GameCube (GC), I will give as much information about it as I can, and I would like to have any suggestions to improve this review, will be really appreciated. What are Saiyans? -------------------------- Goku is a Saiyan (another planets race), he was sent from Planet Vegeta to Planet Earth, so when he becomes older, he will be able to destroy Earth. Yes they certainly are, all the dbz games on the snes are amazing in there own way Since no one has done it i thought id right about all of them :) Ok lets begin - Super Butoden 1 - The first dbz fighting game released on the snes, it has a few options including a type of story mode and a tournament. The characters in it are goku, android 19, android 18, vegeta, piccolo and loads more, the gameplay is slow but it is very challenging because of this, the music and graphics arent bad but overall id give it, 7/10 Super Butoden 2 - The second installment and it is such a better game than number one, it has the best story line out of the ... There are several flaws to this game the most annoying of which has to be the split-screen feature, this basically places a big ugly line accross the screen when the characters are far away from each other, this confuses you so much that you completely lose orientation (especially when jumping). Each character has the same moves and hence feels exactly the same, this shortens the life of this software dramatically. Not only that but also each stage has two layers, On pressing a button you flip up onto the second layer and if one person is down on the first layer the annoying splitscreen idea comes ... You'd expect a game based on this extremely worldwide poular cartoon to be really good eh? You'd expect to see all the characters and experience the superfast fighting and exciting battles too. Well one out of two is not bad. Its worse than that. There are several Dragonball Z fighting games. They each host the most popular characters of the series - Goku, his sons, Trunks, vegeta, Piccolo, Buu, Cell, Freeza and some androids. However, the controls, animation, moves and overall gameplay look as if the game took 3 weeks to make, instead of a year, or at least 6 months!! Bandai obviously rushed the Dragonball Z titles, because plain and simple the games ... Read the complete review
