Dreamfall is basically the continuation of the longest journey, but differ from the first title in many aspect, the longest journey was the classic point and click adventure in monkey island's scumm style , dreamfall is totally different and a use a full 3d interactive engine, the game is still a graphic adventure but it use a new way typical of modern video games.

The game is very well done, it even uses some of the locations of the first game that this time are in full 3d, so if you loved the first one you will surely love to see them in full 3d.

In the game you will control 3 different characters:

Zoë Castillo: a girl living in the city of Casablanca , she lives with her father, her mother died and recently dropped out of university, the story begin with her ex-boyfriend who ask her for help.

April Ryan: The main character from the original the longest journey story , originally from Stark, now living on the other side of the world , fighting the Azadi as a rebel in a organized group.

Kian Alvane: An azadi special agent, basically some kind of assassin , great with the sword and very dangerous and highly respected among his peoples for his rank as apostle of the six.

If you haven't played the original longest journey this world is divided in 2 parts:

1) Stark: very technological world in which Zoe Lives which is basically some kind of future version of earth

2) Arcadia: a medieval world were magic is very important and is some kind of fantasy faerie tales world, with every kind of creatures.

I can't say much for the plot of the game, this is probably the worst part of the game, the story is clear and you will discover what is happening to the 2 worlds that are connected together and hang in balance and this balance is breaking.
The only problem is the games does not conclude and leaves so many unresolved issues that I don't even know if you can consider it a full game or only some kind of half game to be concluded with a future game.
