Duke Nukem 3D is a first person shooter, part of a series of games and the first in the series to be made in 3D.

Story

The game is set in the 21st century and starts in Los Angeles and proceeds to different locations, you play Duke Nukem, who was off world when during an Alien attack and most humans missing you have to fight the enemy and save the human race with little mini games and puzzles in the game.

Game play

You play in the first person so movement is like most of these games types, you have to follow set mission to completes the game but there is built in puzzles which if you complete take you to extra areas giving you more game play.

On the levels you can pretty much take any path you want to take to get to your objective so you can explore around the area as much as you wish.

The choice of weapons is pretty good and some of them are fun to use, you can also collect inventory items as you move along the levels which makes completing the game easier.

The is not many different types of enemy to fight though and most of them are fairly easy to kill, the game itself is not hard to complete but is fun to play.

Controls/Graphics

The controls are pretty basic and easy to use so do not take long to get used to, the character movement is easy to do and there is no bad camera angles, the graphics are pretty good for the time the game was made.

Value for Money

The game itself is fun to play and whilst the single player does not take that long to complete it is a game worth completing and as it is an old game you will be able to buy it cheap which will make it worth while buying.

Summary: Fun game to play, easy to complete and not that long but worth getting out the bargin bin
