When Westwood Studios invented the RTS genre all those years ago with Dune 2, it was a smash. The gameplay was new and exciting, never before seen. You could build an army, construct buildings, harvest resources, and send your units to do battle. Earth 2150 is the first real-time stratergy game with total 3D warfare, this gives the game a whole new perspective and is really fun to play. This game came out soon after C&C Tiberian Sun came out and complete wiped the floor with it. As you know many of the original stratergy games mainly by Westwood have not really been significantly advanced, you still get the boring old view which in some ways can be really boring and crap to play with. The basic history of the game is in 2150, their will be a nuclear holocaust and earth will be uninhabited. Earth 2150 is an RTS game which had the right idea on so many things but failed to deliver them on the exceptional level I foresaw it to have. A game based on realism while dwelling into the far future it had some great concepts. Let's start with that realism. In Earth 2150, every unit that had physical form of attack *rockets, bullets, etc*, had a limited quantity of it. You'd have supply depots that would fly out and resupply troops that would need it automatically, this including your defensive towers as well. Most players would go "BOO!" on this idea, but hold on a minute and consider what exciting levels of play this would achieve! ...
