The Godfather (PC):
... games are notorious for poorly adaptating films, and only very few - such as the brilliant N64 game Goldeneye - have put sufficient money into development rather than simply acquiring the license. The Godfather is another rare instance, of a game that works as a solid companion piece to the film, while also being a serviceable piece of entertainment by itself. First and foremost, this game benefits from a lot ... Read the full review: Surprisingly good by shaneo632 |

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl (PC) ... is a game that had been in gestation so long before it came out. It was very, very hyped, and for the most part managed to deliver as a fun, visceral game, even if it is flawed and doesn t make as good use of its sprawling nature as it could have. It is, however, VERY challenging, and a nice reaction for the tendency for modern games to be getting easier. There isn t much to the plot, but some might see it as distasteful; you re a mercenary who lives near Chernobyl, and the people who lived there during the Chernobyl incident have been turned unto ravenous mutants. You will have to take them and some of the other crazy locals down with a variety of weapon... Read the full review: A strange, good FPS by shaneo632 |

Battlefield 2 - Special Forces (PC) ... LOVE the original Battlefield 2; it was an immense spectacle of a game that, against supreme odds, managed the sizeable feat of actually bettering the original game. Aurally, it also maintains the same high standard, with crisp effects of exp... Read the full review: A bit lean but good nonetheless by shaneo632 |

Medal of Honor: Airborne (PC) ... love the Medal of Honour series. For better (Allied Assault), or for worse (Pacific Assault), it is always very cinematic and engaging, and although the series hasn t been hot for a while, I ll always buy the games because they deliver an experience like no other. It is in many ways an apotheosis of the MoH series, because it is indicative of both the strengths and flaws of the series as a whole. Firstly, the plot is a bit of a mess, but then this isn t really why many play the MoH series; there are some individual stories from various soldiers that don t really cohere, but as a glimpse at WW2, it does absolutely deliver as the cinematic spectacle, thanks largely to so...
