From Sierra, the makers of such instant classics as half life, comes Empire Earth. An epic of a game spanning over 500 000 years of human history. The game is undeniably a strategic affair, the premise, to construct a base, raise an army and quash those who seek to destroy you. In this respect it is similar to the likes of the unstoppable Command & Conquer series, an absolute giant in this genre. However, EE differs from C&C in a few key aspects which I will now go into. Firstly and perhaps most notably, the game starts off in pre history. You are little more than cavemen, with rudimentary weapons and makeshift buildings, as time passes and you accrue ... Empire Earth is an interesting enough game to play. Claimed as one of the most innovative and interesting RTS's to flood the market at it's time, it's done a great job building a name for itself. Though many systems in place were new back then, there are some things which felt too familiar for comfort. One such feature that would border this feeling is the resource gathering. I admit, yes it's hard to come up with a system that can beat the tried and tested "let's pick this off the ground and use it!" system, but I had wished they might have brought something new to that table, like interest! I can't believe so few RTS has any kind of ... Read the complete review

Empire Earth is a strategy game made by Sierra Studios released in 2001. Covering 500,000 years, this game allows you to play through all of human history and gives its players a wide variety of choices to make throughout the game. Allowing you to fight on land, sea and in the air, there really isn’t another strategy game quite like it. *** My Opinion on … *** Here you will find my opinion on everything from how easy the game is to play and what age range this would suit, to how good the graphics are and how it compares to similar games of its type. Hopefully this will give you the best idea of whether or not this game is for you! 1) ... Read the complete review

Sierra?s Empire Earth claims to be the best RTS game yet to be released. It aroused quite high expectations from us RTS lovers, but did it quite really stand up to them? As all the previous Age of Empires influenced games, this one too is based on gathering resources and cashing them in for buildings, units and research. Five resources are available: Food- acquired by hunting, foraging weird melon patches and later on farming. Wood- I?m a lumberjack and I?m okay, hence, chopping down trees. Stone, iron and gold- acquired by mining the respective mine. As in AOE, you advance through the ages, build buildings, research technologies, build your ... Read the complete review
