Empire: Total War is a strategy game involving turn based management and real time strategy/tactics combat. As of writing this review, I have never experienced a previous Total War Game enough to form an opinion on the series, so this review reflects a newcomer to the franchise. I have also rarely played turn based or management games so that aspect is also new to me. I am however highly interested in combat and politics of the 18th and 19th Centuries, so this will feature in my opinion. Overview: The game has several modes of play. You can choose to play the Grand Campaign, which is the main game mode in which you select a nation to ... Read the complete review

Well I best start by mentioning the Game requirements, so I do not build up your desire for the game and allow you to be let down by your computer not being up to speed with the vast amount of storage space and graphics needed. -2.4 GHz Processor -256 MB Video Card -2 GB of RAM for Vista, or 1 GB of RAM for XP -15 GB Hard Drive Space. Comparing this to its predecessor, 'Rome: Total War' which required a mere 2.9 GB, 'Age of Empires III' that required 2.0 GB and 'Battlefield 2' where only 2.3 GB Hard Drive space is required. All of which are considered excellent games, with hours of gaming time available. Putting this into consideration, 'Empire: ... Read the complete review

Introduction ---------------- Empire: Total War is a turn based strategy game that was released by the developers Creative Assembly and Sega. It is available to buy on DVD or through the online distributor, Steam. Empire is the fifth game in the series, following titles such as Medieval: Total War and Rome: Total War. This particular instalment of the series focuses on the 18th century. It is similar in many ways to the other games in terms of interface but many improvements have also been made. The aim of the game is to have the strongest empire - this could be contributed to by having the strongest army, navy, economics and ... Read the complete review

As a huge fan of the Total War series i was waiting at the doors for the realease fo the newest addition to the range. For thiose not familar with The Total War Franchise - the games are a mix of turn based (takes place on strategic map or theatre) and real time action (Takes place on the battlefield). My first impression was excellent lots of familar things from the previous total war series and some new stuff as well. The graphics are great mixed with decent music makes a great enviroment to play in. Be prepared for some long hours spent at the PC as with all godd games it sucks you in and hours pass by without notice. The turns can be ... Read the complete review
