Advantages: Lots of new features, good graphics, interesting, entertaining

Disadvantages: needs a good computer, need to activate online

If you have played any of the previous Total War games, know that this has everything they offered and more! For starters there are two new map areas to explore: America and India, there are many new tactics to learn with the inclusion of powerful musket troops from the start and there is a whole new aspect to diplomacy.

This game is all about world conquest, whether that be through aggression expansion or careful diplomacy. It is mainly a strategic game as the way to win is to know how to run a country, however it is equally good fun for tacticians as the battles are different every time!

I'd recommend this game to anyone who has played and enjoyed games like Age of Empires or Civilization. However be warned, it does require a powerful graphics card, a good processor and a decent amount of RAM to get the best out of the game. Look at the recommended specifications and go above them if possible.

Another thing worth mentioning is that it installs with steam, and this requires an active internet connection. If you're buying online though, this shouldn't be a problem for you.

Overall: a fun, challenging game. But make sure you have the right computer.
