I have to say I had high hopes for this game,it had the 2000 license,EA promised big things with AI and circuits where meant to be accuratly mapped to the centimetre. In fact the game meets none of these requirements and is something that EA is often found doing, that is rushing a game out in time for a new season without any real thought to the final result. I`l start off talking about the AI EA promised. They promised to have an AI which was significantly better than any other game. This AI rather than sticking to a normal racing line had a cone of vision to allow for more realistic racing.Infact this "cone of vision" has backfired on EA as the cars just ... These are wonderful times for racing-sim fans. Over the last two years, there have been top-notch simulations in nearly every category, from superbikes to road rallying to GT sports-car racing. EA Sports' new F1 2000 is another strong contender, and despite a few problems in the retail version, the game will doubtless achieve at least one goal: It will prove that EA Sports can produce a racing sim that's as realistic and exciting as the best racing games on the market. But before you open up a new browser window and head to your favorite online store to buy a copy, you should bear in mind that the game does have a few potential problems, such as its ... Ok, as you can no doubt tell from the title I don't like this game much. Where should I start with the criticism though. Well, I will first list the minimum specification to play this game: P233mhz (MMX Compliant) 64 megs Ram 4 megs Graphics Card Ok, well if anyone has actually played the game at that spec, you have my sympathies. You would have to turn every single graphics option and resolution to minimum. Then you could probably just about play a practice game with you and another car. The recommended spec: Pentium 2 450mhz 128 Ram 8mb Graphics Card This spec is more realistic but, you will ... Read the complete review

One of the best features about F1 2000 is the ability to make things as easy or as hard as you like with a number of assist modes. This ease of accessibility hasn't been missed by EA, with a similar range of assists for Steering, Braking, Gears, Spins and more. After choosing your team and circuit weaking the numerous settings in the pits, it's time to put pedal to the carbon fibre and take it for a spin - and you can take that as literal as you want. As you would expect from a game by EA, the presentation and in-game visuals are impressive. Especially when you are used to Formula One racing bitmap stylee. The car handles as you would ... I so wanted this game to be good. Having seen the previews and screenshots I was really impressed with the graphics, then I bought it......... To begin with, I tried it on my older machine, that has an 8mb ATI card in it (a rage pro, which in the main booklet,is listed as supported), but when I tried to run the game, a lot of the textures didnt work, and I was left with wireframe gfx!. I rang EA support, who told me there was an ammendment inside the box to say the game had problems with ATI and Voodoo chipsets(2 of the most popular chipsets around!), and sure enough, there was a single sheet of paper inside telling me this (why they cant ...
