Advantages: Fantastic Game!
Disadvantages: Er - There Are None!
I brought F1 2000 a couple of months ago and it's got me hooked! The best things about the game in my view is the ability it gives you to change loads of components of your car, and the fact that it is brilliantly up-to-date. The graphics are simply superb, with the cars and tracks alike being matched perfectly with their real-life counterparts. The car handles perfectly on the track and the frame rate is generally quite good. You have loads of options in the game; you can play a full championship, participate in a Grand Prix weekend, play a quick race, take part in a test session with unlimited laps available for you to practice set-ups and the like, and the best part of the game - the multiplayer section. The multiplayer option gives you the chance to race with up to 21 friends and the frame rate is not delayed despite your Internet connection - unlike most racing games on the market. There are loads of in-game controls to aid you in your quest to pick up motor racing's top prize including steering assistance, opposite lock assistance, braking point assistance, spin recovery assistance, invulnerability, shifting assistance, throttle assistance, anti-lock braking assistance as well as plenty of different camera angles to choose from. And to keep up-to-date with car changes, driver changes and track changes (such as different billboards) you can log on to various websites and downloads patches which are fairly small in size. My favourite is www.f1gamers.com/f1/f12000/ which is updated regularly. For more information on the game as well as screenshots, demos, and system requirements log onto the official EA Sports' F1 2000 website at www.easportsf12000.com and don't forget to check out my regular F1 updates in the 'Formula One' section of dooyoo.
