A game that from the outset promises alot but delivers very little.
Premier League stars 2001 has all the stadiums,teams,kits and fixtures for the 2000-2001 season and bareing that in mind immediatly it hits the target market.
The game was developed in the UK not in the US where the brilliant fifa games come from and doesn`t it just tell.For one all the crows are flat 2d shaped not the real 3d crowds promised by ea even the policemen look like card board cut outs.The main problem is though the graphics,I have a top of the range pc with the latest voodoo graphics card and the graphics are horrendous on this game even to the point where the framerate is that slow that the graphics begin to flicker and become all mixed up and then triangles of blue keep coming up,its strange really as if noone has even tested the game.I would be interested to know if anyone else is having this trouble.
Well they are the main bad points,the good points well the grounds when the graphics aren`t flickering look very realistic and the gameplay is what you expect of a football game.Also commentry from four top football pundits spices it up a bit.But its nothing special that makes it stand out from other football games its another rushed game out in time fot the new season to make the most money like f12000.In my opinion wait for fifa 2001 this will be 10 times better.And just to round this off I was that miffed at the graphics that I took the game back and got my money back safely put away for the release of fifa 2001 in a months time.Hope that will be much better and I can write a happier review.
