Fallout 2 is real time rpg with turn based combat in a post apocalyptic world. When you first start the game and after watching the somewhat explanatory introduction, you have a to create a character. If you prefer you can choose one of the pre made characters, but character creation and expansion is one of the strong points of the game. Besides choosing the usual dungeons and dragons main status and gender, you must also choose skills percentage that ranges from small weapons to mechanics, and traits. This traits work in a way that each character will get more individualized, because while each one gives you some bonus it also has ... Read the complete review

Nuclear war changed the world. The last of the human race that managed to survive in the few vaults return to their cities to find burnt streets and houses. Vault 13 is running low on water, they are desperate for a new Water chip. And only one hero who will exit the vault for the first time in his life will be able to get it back... May be.... It lived for about a year, until the second part of the famous RPG came out to chain the fans to their computers for a long time. I don't know what is wrong with me. I know this is one of the most highly regarded RPGs on the market. It has absolutely everything going for it, yet I just can't seem to get into it. The game is set in a post apocalyptic future, on the west coast of North America. Different tribes have emerged, and in your village, one of the more primitive of the ones of its kind, the tribal elders have decided that you are the chosen one. Your quest is to go forth into the big wide world and find the GECK in order to save your village. This GECK, when you discover what it actually is, sets the tone for the whole game. The GECK is a 'Garden of Eden ... Read the complete review

The first time I saw this for sale was quite a while after it's release, somehow I had heard nothing about the game before but thought it seemed the sort of game I would like and bought it, I wasn't disappointed. The first time I played it I thought the controls were a bit strange and that the game played fairly slowly, however once I had played it for a while I realised that all it took was a bit of getting used to. After playing for a while I really got into the story and enjoyed the fact that there were so many different choices you could make during the game as to how you wanted to play your character, you could choose what skills to change, what ... Cast your mind back from 1950 -> 1960, Cold War was at its height with MacCarthyism and the nuclear bomb testing was slowly beginnging both in Americaa and Soviet Russia. At this time people thought the world was going to end in a nuclear war but as we all know it didnt. The Fallout series plays on this theme and uses it as a backdrop to a ravaged Post Apocalyptic North America set about 80 years into the future. The first game followed the adventure of a "Vault 13" citizen , one of the lucky few people who managed to make it to a safe underground vault set inside a mountain that was shielded from all the radioactivity for 50 years. Your Vault was ... Read the complete review
