Advantages: Timeless RPG fun, smooth graphics, good sound, easy interface, endless options, louis armstrong music, guns, shotting people in the knee who you don't like, making friends, can talk to almost anyone.... and that touch of magic

Disadvantages: none, absolutely NONE

This is one of the best games i have ever played in my life. No-one can argue with this game, it may look simple, it may only have simple graphics, but it is the wonder which is fallout. This has got to be the best idea for a role playing game, a post nuclear war role-playing game, were the words i read on the box which i picked up off my doormat after mail ordering the orginal. And these words are now immortal in my mind and i now realise what they symbolise. The symbolise day AND NIGHT of sitting infront on my computer, with my hand freezing due to lack of blood circulation (seriously) due to not moving, being a hero (or heroine) who is saving a destoryed planet from evil. This simple good versus evil idea fits this game perfectly, but the point is you can be good OR evil. Well it helps to be good as you can complete the game, but still a worthy mention.

This is the first game (i speak in terms of both fallout and fallout 2) which i really saw how a game can fit too you as a player.

There is also a perfect learning curve, also the manual i have found to be one of the best compared to any other computer game, it is very helpful and explainitory if you have never played before, or even if you have. The game difficulty does not lie in the immediate challenge infront of you as that can change dramatically from the stats of each person who reaches it. But it lies in getting there or finding out or even what happens afterwards. This is what makes fallout and fallout 2 stand out from all the other games.

Fallout 2 is a definate imporvement on the orginal, which i must say i still play, with a better interface more weapons, more places, more people, more difficult, and still a fabulous storyline. All this make this such a brilliant game. But there is this extra quality which can not be put into words, which i have only ever seen in the fallout games. This is what makes it so addictive, so magical some would say.

There is the superb idea
of character creation, so many possiblities that you can create any type of character - you can create you in this post-nuclear world.

It is such a good game which i and many others have played time and time again, it will never get old, or out of date, it i burnt in time as one of the best games ever. That bit of magic means that everytime i hear Louis Armstrong at the beginning of the intro i get goosepimples and remember every bit of fun i have had playing this game.

Just buy it, play it, and know what i mean.
