Fallout 3, nostalgia to 1 and 2 makes it seem worse than it is. (Fallout 3 (PC))

Advantages: great for people who like exploring, worthy sequal to the fallout series.

Disadvantages: lot of things could be better, mods are a must.

Fallout 3 is the newest addition for the fallout line of games, set in a world that looks like the fifties after a nuclear war between communist China and America,the character creation process has you being born and having you pick your gender,name and looks, as you grow older you notice that not everyone in the vault see eye to eye about the policies, eventualy your father leaves and as you follow him to try and find him you learn that you were not born in the vault, as the story unfolds you get some interesting moral choices, will you become a hero to the wastes or a villian caring only for himself, or just a survivor, doing what he can to find his father.

The game was made by bethesda wich also made oblivion and it would be a lie to say it does not takes a lot from oblivion but the feel of the wastes sets it appart quite nicely, the VATS mode wich lets you use action points to do some cool cinematic fighting is balanced and on higher difficulties a necesity.

one of the main bad points of fallout 3 is that it is something wich will mainly appeal to explorers, another is that kids ( who tend to be very annoying if your character is evil) cant be killed luckily there are mods to fix that.

there are also a bunch of DLC's ( downloadable Content) wich add new items and places, The broken steel DLC is a must in my oppinion because it raises the levle max by ten to a total of 30 and adds some new enemies.

Summary: a good game if a bit rough whitout mods.
