Advantages: Engaging gameplay, intresting story/mission, good combat

Disadvantages: Lacking AI of npc's, voice actors over used

Firing up the game for the first time presents an interesting and refreshing take on an introduction/training sequence. After your quick transition from new born to 18 year old you are thrust into the post apocalyptic world of Fallout 3. To begin with this is a daunting prospect, looking around you all you can see for miles is a vast expansive wasteland, with seemingly nothing of use or interest in sight, it definately does well in giving you the feeling of being alone and vulnerable.

Whilst a lot of people have branded this game as simply 'oblivion with guns' it offers so much more. Whilst you will definately recognize some things from Oblivion, such as the AI, repetitive voices and questionable voice acting it is most definately a completely new game.

The sheer size and depth of the game becomes apparent after a good few hours play, with literally hundreds of quests and side quests to do you will never be left with nothing to do.

The new V.A.T.S targeting system adds another depth of gameplay and is a good addition.

The quests in this game are far more engaging and rewarding than those of Oblivion, the levelling system has been re-vammped and works a lot better.

Exploring the wastes will definatley become your number one occupation, and with the option to mould yourself into an evil or good character you will have many different adventures.

With plenty to keep you occupied and little repetitiveness Fallout 3 has certainly delivered for fans of the series and Bethesda games.

Whilst not perfect, it certainly isn't far from it

Summary: A great game from Bethesda, a refreshing addition to the games industry
