Trivial Pursuit (PC) ... classic quiz board game Trivial Pursuit is claimed by the Website to be the most popular Trivia Board game in the world, and having googled here and there I can find no evidence to refute their claim. I know that I like the game although sometimes it can be a bit slow. Best played with a wee dram I think. Well the tedium associated with the set up and moving of pieces has been removed by the introduction of a PC version. The software is published by Atari who are perhaps more famous for the great games they brought out in the eighties when electronic gaming was bursting onto the scene. You Don't Know Jack 2 (PC) ... Gee whiz. How exciting. I m sure you all remember playing Trivial Pursuit. The very thought of trivia as a computer game seems.. well.. dull. And its not like such a game would require much programming, or even time to put together. You could sit down for a a few hours in Hypercard or Basic and make a pretty decent trivia game in no time flat. Just get some questions, make a real basic engine, and fill in the blanks. Add a few random commands, make a system for keeping score.. viola. You ve got trivia. Nothing to it. You don't know Jack 4 (PC) ... likes storing useless facts in their heads. There is a certain satisfaction to be had by spontaneously saying to a friend, "You know, a duck s quack doesn t echo. Think about it." But knowing that the left hand types 56% of everything isn t going to get you very far in life unless you miraculously win a spot on a game show. Not all of us are so lucky, however, and our only solace comes from shouting out answers at the TV while watching Jeopardy. Except now you can yell at the computer screen and mash the keyboard thanks to the onslaught of trivia video games.
