If you remember the old Commodore Amiga days- you'll have fond memories of the mother of all 'modern day' football games- Kick Off 2. If you're a true fan of football games then you would have spent many months playing Dino Dini's classic interpretation of the 'beautiful game'. Then there was the excellent 'Sensible Soccer', then the remarkable 'Actua Soccer 2' (Playstation); then the enjoyable 'World cup '98' (Playsation). Those are my all-time favourite football games. FIFA 2001 seems to borrow the best elements from all of the afore mentioned simulations- and then some!

When played over the internet (via ADSL), FIFA 2001 is an absolute dream to play! The variety of moves is phenomenal, and I find that I regularly win with such outrageous scorelines like:- 5-1, 6-0- and even 9-2! I like to play the English way, and therefore find it all to easy to 'rack-up' such scores against our continental counterparts... I'm beating people literally from 'all over the world'!

FIFA 2001 is an extremely fluid game with a wealth of options to accommodate all styles of play. I haven't experienced any problems whatsoever with regards to playing FIFA 2001 online...

Without any hesitation, I can wholeheartedly recommend this destined-to-be-a-classic game!
