The FIFA Series has been around since time began, or at least it seems that way. I remember playing the original on the Mega Drive, and then the majority of the sequels on various formats. In the traditional EA Sports way, each year brings a new sequel, usually sporting an extra 1 on the end but offering very little extra in terms of the game. Or so it seems. FIFA 95 was very similar to the original, and FIFA 96 very similar to 95. The graphics were tweaked, a few more options added and a few more moves available, but never any major overhaul. But while the difference from year to year may have been small, over the course of 7 or 8 years FIFA has gone from a basic flat ... Read the complete review

FIFA 2002, it must be Christmas again, well nearly. This is the time of year we come to expect a new FIFA release, but are these games any good and is this one the best? Well the answer to these questions is this, again it’s better than that years but not in giant leap terms. The game has been completely overhauled in the passing area of things, which is what it needed. Passing is much better, players make runs and so one and passes can be met with these runs there is added satisfaction when that little chiped/flighted ball over the top goes right onto the path of a running player. Runs from players can not bee seen by a dotted line in the path of the ... Read the complete review

I wish I could say it was, but it's not. It is however a mighty fine game in it's own right. You can guarantee that every year EA Sports will release another update to it's FIFA franchise. This is a year out of date; the new version is called shockingly FIFA 2002, an original name. This review centres on last years version of the game, and with it's inevitable budget release in the nearby future may be of help in helping you make a decision over whether this game is worth buying or not. If you have played any FIFA game ever you will know that they are not known very much for innovation or changing vastly between releases. However I ... Read the complete review

Hey from what I have seen everyone's been giving this rave reviews, and i must admit i play it alot, but can we face one small bit of reality are the add-ons for fifa2001 from 2000 really worth the £30 price tag which Ea Sports yearly fleeces us for? When you compare the ammount of detail, effort and precision put into a game like NHL 2001 by EA sports you wonder why they can't put the same ammount of 'care' into it. I mean the smooth graphivdcs of NHL and even the little things like names on the back of shirts and being able to import yourself into the game. Nowadays with the use of internet and sites which allow to patch games add kits, ... Read the complete review

When the game came out, I immediately had to buy it. When I played it I found out that it was a great improvement from the previous one. In comparison to the 2000 version, it concentrates less on the extras and more on the football, which is what I want. First of all, the menus are as easy to use as in the previous games, although i have to say that the ones in the ps2 version are animated, while these are not. The graphics are the best thing in this game. The players are amazing, they look incredibly real, and now they can move their facial muscles more smoothly. As for the shirts, this is the first Fifa game in which all (or almost all) the teams have ... Read the complete review
