This game features all the usual things associated with a football game, and specifically this includes a create a player. Though this is hampered by the graphics of the time it is still a nice feature. The game play is not nearly as slick as newer games and if this is what you're after don't buy this game but if you want a laugh and a bit of nostalgia then there is not a lot that ...more

This marked the beginning of Fifa as any footballing fan with a video console know. The game is set on the France World Cup, which means that it features all of the teams who were involved in any form of qualifying for that event. It also features all the players' names from those teams and the national stadium for each of these teams. For such an old game the amount of stuff they managed to pack onto this disc and were prepared to put the time into making is astonishing. This is one of the legendary football games and developed by EA, who still to this day develope many of the top sports games on the market and FIFA is still continuing even 11 years, which is a remarkable achievement. David Beckham features on the cover of this game and this was the year he started to become a global superstar. There was 11 leagues with 189 clubs, which was the largest clubs available to date and also the new 'Road To World Cup' mode. This was the firs time in a Fifa game that the offside rule worked properly. Personally my favourite feature though, which has not to my recolection been used since was the indoor pitch mode. Where the game is ...  Read the complete review

FIFA 98 Road to World cup has to be the funniest game out of the series simply because of the hilarious indoor matches! I think the Sega Saturn version had atrocious graphics, but was raised the most grins as the fights that we all had were great! You see the best thing about the game was that the referee strictness could be changed – so you could have very strict refs, or refs that don’t actually care about what’s going on and let you slide tackle and have punch ups on the pitch! Superb stuff, but then the Saturn’s actual football out door option was so poor (awful graphics), so I have to use it simply for indoor games! The PSX version ...  Read the complete review

Great Graphics None

New European ('UK') and Asian buildings sets, landscapce editor, building editor, scenarios . No graphical update, no difference in gameplay, not all of the buildings have changed .

Fantastic range of real classic cars, good variance of game modes, fantastic sound effects Graphics are not going to rival modern day graphics but they are still strong

very cheap some missions quite easy

great gameplay, great cutscenes, great music graphics are very dated, although they still remain colourful and full of charm
